Protect our Campground!
TTT was recently notified by a non-member of an advertisement promoting that they could rent an RV spot from a TTT member while they were exploring Tahoe. We experienced a similar issue last season when a “guest” arrived to check-in for their week-long stay but could not identify the member they were planning to visit and had to check their social media account.
Be advised that renting, leasing or other commercialization of a campsite is prohibited under Bylaw 7.2 S14. Violations of this Bylaw will be strictly enforced as you are putting our entire campground in jeopardy as infractions of our Conditional Use Permit are punishable by severe fines or worse.
This Bylaw is further clarified in OR-11-01 Gate Entry: “Only Members in good standing who are in possession of a gate pass will be allowed to enter the Park unchallenged. Members who do not have a gate pass in their possession will be admitted after producing proper identification.
Members may permit the use of their campsite by their immediate family and their friends. Permission to use a campsite must be in writing and on file with the association office.
The Member assumes sole responsibility for the proper use of gate passes, and any misuse may be subject to fines and penalties as outlined in OR-03-13 Fines and Penalties.”
Please be advised that renting your campsite is considered a health and safety violation to the Association property which would be a fine of $500 per incident (think per day of rent) and the Board has the authority to assess a multiplier of up to 5 times the original fine and/or place restrictions on your membership.
PLEASE DO NOT PUT THE ENTIRE MEMBERSHIP AT RISK BY RENTING YOUR SITE OR SHARING YOUR PASS WITH NON-MEMBERS.
