The Board of Directors does not have the authority to make this decision. TTT regulatory oversight falls under the Special Occupancy Parks Act of the State of California. Additionally, Land Use planning is under the County jurisdiction, which in TTT’s case is Nevada County. The Special Occupancy Parks Act has two classifications and per Nevada County, TTT is designated as a “special occupancy park.” The regulation for lot occupancy allows for a “camping cabin” which could be a tiny home, however, the TTT Land Use Permit does not allow for structures such as camping cabins. Additionally, Nevada County Planning Department has limited Tiny Homes on wheels to only be allowed in zones where traditional built housing is a primary dwelling. TTT does not currently meet these requirements. The regulations governing Tiny Homes are available via this link.
